My partner with a cognitive disability is talking about past events. What to do?
Creating new and beautiful memories with immersive experiences will be the first step to stop them from talking about old events. If they talk about good old events, try to create better memories to replace those thoughts. If they are talking about bad memories, ask them to decide how to tackle those issues. When they are allowed to take decisions, they feel independent, which would be an endpoint for the pertaining problem. If the issue persists or the person is emotionally hurt, please consult a doctor or therapist immediately.
