An Escort is basically that companion, assistant, helper or care taker who travels with the person with disability.

Here we will understand the concessions your escort is entitled to avail as per the government during train travel along with you.
The concessions your escort is entitled to avail along with you are mentioned below:
• The Concession for 
blind persons Travelling alone or with an Escort – for any purpose :
75% in 2nd, SL,1st Class, 3AC, AC chair Car.
50% in 1AC and 2 AC
25% in 3AC and AC Chair Car of Rajdhani/Shatabdi Trains
One Escort is also eligible for the same element of concessions as mentioned above.
• The Concession for deaf and dumb person (both afflictions together in the same person) travelling alone or with an escort – For any purpose One escort is also eligible for same element of concession :
50% in 2nd, SL and 1st Class
50% in MST and QST
One Escort is also eligible for the same element of concessions as mentioned above.
• The concession for Mentally Retarded persons who cannot travel without escort – for any purpose :
75% in 2nd, SL,1st Class, 3AC, AC chair Car.
50% in 1AC and 2 AC
25% in 3AC and AC Chair Car of Rajdhani/Shatabdi Trains
50% in MST and QST
One Escort is also eligible for the same element of concessions as mentioned above.
• The concession for Divyang are Orthopaedically Handicapped/Paraplegic Persons who cannot travel without escort – for any purpose :
75% in 2nd, SL,1st Class, 3AC, AC chair Car.
50% in 1AC and 2 AC
25% in 3AC and AC Chair Car of Rajdhani/Shatabdi Trains
50% in First and Second class Monthly season ticket and Quarterly season ticket.
One escort is also eligible for same element of concession as mentioned above.
